Friends, I am so excited to announce that I’ve partnered with Chicago artist Allie Kushnir to create a feminist mantra calendar for 2019!
This calendar combines Allie’s abstract paintings with mantras from my book Fifty Feminist Mantras. But it’s also more than just a calendar — the pages are perforated, so the days can be recycled at the end of the month and the mantra, artwork, and reflection prompts make a beautiful set of prints or deck of mantra cards that can be held onto for long after the year has ended.
Allie’s work explores sustainability and ethical production/consumption, so we were very intentional about each piece of this product. The calendar is printed on 100% recycled stock and protected by a biodegradable cello sleeve. We wanted to develop a calendar that created less waste than those that are disposed of entirely at the end of the year.
* Update: The calendars are now sold out, but Allie and I are planning more collaborations for the future!*
